AUCKLANDER ON WINNING SIDE A message from Christchurch states that the final match In the Canterbury Rugby Union's senior championship was won by Air Force A, which defeated Regiment by 16 points to 6. Playing half-back for Air Force was Dave Hewitt. He fielded behind the scrum last year when Manukau contested the Gallaher Shield final with Army, who won 24—9, although the Onehunga side was leading 9—6 half-way through the second spell, after being down 6—o at the Interval.
