SEEKING A TRIAL
Mr. John Hogan, whose journal Democracy was banned by the Attorney General, has issued a statement, In the course of which he states that ho lodged notice of appeal, <?n the ground that there was no legal justification ror the Issue of the original older. Two dates had been fixed for hearing the appeal, but both had to lie abandoned because the Government had not filed the ground on which the prohibition was Imposed, and there was therefore no ca«o to answer.
Mr. Hogan asks that he be prosecuted in open Court before a jury, so that a decision may be reached. He says he has enlisted as an air force observer, but will only go into camp when a decision in his case has been reached, either by way of appeal, as provided by the regulations, or of trial by jury.
