Ihe Colonial Office states that, because' certain elements on Copper Belt have been deliberately fomenting subversive agitation against tJv 5 war effort in the past few months tnc Government of Northern Rhodesia has detained three of the individuals concerned. The Governor has r-. pealed to officials of the Mineworkers Union to use their influence to prevent any disorders, intimating that the Government is fully resolved to take all the necessarv steps to maintain law and order.
