WAVELL. FAVOURED IT
LONDON, Oct 5. During a debate in the House of Lords on an article written by Lord Strabolgi extremely critical of British Army leadership, a popular belief in General Sir Archibald Wavell s opposition to the expedition to Greece was disposed of.
Cran borne declared that Lord Strabolgi had maintained that General Wavell s advice was disregarded m the Greek campaign.
'The exact opposite was the fact" he said. 'General Wavell alwavs favoured the Greek episode.*'
