TO AID WAR FUNDS

Special Correspondent Rec. 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, this day. Officers and other ranks of the United States- forces in the South Pacific will be asked to help to pay for the war as well as fight it. Already American troops are required to pay United States income tax and officers have now been deputed to carry out an intensive campaign to induce servicemen to subscribe to United States war bonds.
