INTEREST IN SCHOOLS
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Auckland Schools Committees' Association, a social on Saturday evening was attended by a representative gathering of members from metropolitan and country schools of the district. The president, Mr. A. Gilbert, extended a welcome to the Minister of Education, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, and the Mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, and Mrs. Allum, and representatives of educational bodies. Presentations were made to the honorary solicitor, Mr. J. F. W. Dickson, and the honorary auditor, Mr. L. H. C. Dawson, who have held office for 22 years and 14 years respectively.
