BATTALION COMPETITIONS
GIRLS' LIFE BRIGADE
The annual battalion competitions cf the Auckland division were held on Saturday afternoon last. This year the subjects chosen were physical training, figure marching arid singing. The competition was very keen and resulted as follows*— Ist Auckland Battalion: Ist, 15th Auckland Company (Dunotta Hall, Westmere); 2nd, 21st Auckland Company (Greenlane Congregational); 3rd, 27th Auckland Company (Pt. Chevalier Baptist). 2nd Auckland Battalion: Ist, Sth Auckland Company (Mt. Albert Baptist); 2nd 12th Auckland Company (Avondale Baptist); 3rd, 17th Auckland Company (New Lynn Presbyterian).
The cups were presented to the winners in each battalion on Saturday evening at the Sunday School Lin ion Rally in the Town Hall, where some 550 girls and 60 officers paraded.
