ANNUAL MEETING HELD On behalf of the board and members of the Auckland Y.W.C.A. a cheque was presented to Miss F. Doughty, finance secretary, at the annual meeting held last night, by the president, Mrs. T. Derrick, in appreciation of her 22 years' service. In an address Miss Ethel Law, national general secretary for the Y.W.C.A. of New Zealand, spoke of the fine service given by members. In speaking of the war she said: "We hope that we, as a world-wide association, may go through this war and at the end have survived with our fellowship unbroken." The report, published previously, was adopted. Tributes were paid to Mrs. Derrick, who was unanimously re-clected president. For the board of directors, Mrs. C. W. Webster, Mrs. W. J. Mrs. R. S. Michie, Mrs. Charles Martyn, Mrs. R. B. Wilson, Miss D. Dempsey and Miss E. Tilsley, who were due to retire, were re-elected, while new members elected were Mrs. M. Gavey, Mrs. L. F. Iludd, Mrs. A. L. Aickin and Mrs. N. B. Spencer.
