SALES OF GLUCOSE
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The sale of dextrose B.P. is restricted by notice published in the Gazette. The restriction was due to the difficulty of obtaining further supplies. The Minister of Supply, Mr. Sullivan, said that future sales would be through chemists on the prescription of a doctor, but sales to the public and private hospitals would not be interfered with. The restriction did not include other grades of dextrose, more commonly called glucose.
