CHURCHILL AUCTIONS

The Churchill auctions of books, | manuscripts and pictures will be held on November 5 in Wellington, and a few days earlier in Auckland and Dunedin, reports the honorary Dominion organiser. Mr. Pat Lawlor. The committee is anxious to make as comprehensive a collection as possible of books, letters and other material dealing with Katherine Mansfield. For this section one rare item recently received from Mr. Tom Mills was a copy of "Recollections and Reminiscences of Sir Harold Beauchamp," father of the famous New Zealand writer. Fewer than 100 copies of this were printed for private circulation. Letters from, the late Sir Harold Beauchamp referring to his daughter have also been presented.
