VITAL STATISTICS
During the past month there were 370 births in Auckland, 284 deaths, and 242 marriages, with 55 at the office of the registrar. The figures for the same month of last year, were 357, births, 271 deaths, and 224 marriages, 47 being at the office of the registrar. The vital figures for the past seven n* .hs of the present year with the ijgures for the same period of last year in parentheses, are:— Births, 2655 (2048>; deaths, 1591 (1493); marriages, 1542 (1692); marriages at the office of the registrar, 366 (361).
