LIFE MEMBERSHIP
RUGBY LEAGUE CONDITIONS At (he weekly meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Board of Control last evening, the chairman, Mr. J. W. Watson, reported that the semifinal of the first round would be played next Saturday between City-Otahuliu and Manukau. The Junior board asked for a conference between the board and school boys' committee to discuss better methods of registration of players, particularly commencing with the schoolboys. A committee under the chairmanship of Mr Grey Campbell reported on the conditions of granting life membership. The recommendations included that the honour, character and standing of the recipient must be taken into account; that the League should have the right of recalling the honour if the recipient brought dishonour upon the code, and that life membership only be granted on a four-fifths majority of the board. All the recommendations were approved.
