Japan's Claims And Admissions Of Gains And Losses

Tokyo official radio states that Imperial headquarters, summing up the first six months of the war, claim that 35 enemy divisions have been crushed in the South Pacific regions while 112,000 have been killed in North, Centi-al and South China. Further, the Japs, have captured 342,000 prisoners, including 25,000 Americans, 64.000 Britons. 24,000 Dutch and 44,000 Chinese, and had also destroyed 1636 and captured 240 planes.
It was admitted that the Japanese losses were 9174 killed and 20,720 wounded, also that 348 planes were lost, while 31 ships, totalling 160,000 tons, were sunk.
