WAR PICTURES
ART GALLERY EXHIBITION
The collection of official war pictures now on exhibition at the Auckland Art Gallery has attracted over 4000 visitors to date. Works of the official New Zealand artists are of particular interest. Scenes in Crete and Egypt are depicted and show the conditions under which our men trained and fought. There are also many portraits of New Zealanders, some of them well known in the Auckland Province, who have won distinctions by their daring and courageous actions. There is no charge for admission, but donations can be made to the Auckland Patriotic Fund. Owing to the exceptional interest shown in the collection it has been decided to extend the period of the exhibition to Sunday, May 24.
