PREPARATION OF REPORT

(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.)

WELLINGTON, this day

A desire to discuss the New Zealand manpower position has been expressed by several members of the House of Representatives and it was evident from the remarks of the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, last ni .g"t that the opportunitv to do so win be given. The Speaker of the House, Mr. Barnard, in making some references to the difficulty caused by members wishing to mention matters which it might not be advisable to broadcast, added: "If members would recall the listening ear of Tokyo and give me a hint in advance that they were about to say something they would not iike the Japanese to hear it would lighten my task and enable me to carry out an onerous duty "
