PROBLEM FOR INVESTORS
Although Don't Forget finished second after making all the running in a fastrun Derby, an idea has persisted that he is a sprinter. It is interesting. there Tore. to note that he has won only three races this season —two at and one at Oamaru —all over a mile and a quarter, savs the Timaru Herald. Another popular theory was that he could not carry weight but he has won over the middle distance with 8.8. His success in the Timaru Cup might seem to support a claim that he needs a firm track, but his victory at Oamaru was achieved in very bad going.
