POOR AUTHOR!
When Mr. Sinclair Lewis, the American novelist, was on a ship once, he saw a woman reading one of his novels. He paused, whispering to his friend: "Look! Here is fame at last! Here am I, and there is an obviously intellectual woman absorbed in one of my books." Hut he had spoken too soon. The woman closed the book with a snap and threw it overboard.
