SENT TO DEFAULTERS' CAMP
Arrested on a charpe of failing to report for .service. Clive liobert Carlsen, a clerk, aged 25. appeared before Mr. .1. Murling, S.M., in the Police Court to-day and pleaded guilty. _ Sub-Inspector Macnamara said Carlsen. who was a single man. appealed last Julv on the grounds of undue hardship and that he was a conscientious objector, but his appeal was dismissed. Carlsen refused to take the oath of allegiance. The magistrate committed Carlsen to a defaulters' camp.
