A FINE PERFORMANCE
In winning the Storey Memorial Handicap, Lou Rosa was responsible for 'a particularly fine performance. His victory was highly popular, as it was recognised the son of Foxbridge had been somewhat unlucky in several of his races this season. In the Storey Memorial, W. J. Broughton had Lou Rosa about the centre of the field most of the way, but once the straight was entered the gelding came along in great style, and won going away. Lou Rosa made light of his weight, 9.6, and stamped himself as a first-class handicap horse.
