M.P.'S SON KILLED
PRIVATE G. B. OSBORNE
News of the death in action of Private Gordon Bert Osborne, youngest son of Mr. A. G. Osborne, M.P.'for Manukau, has been received by his wife, Mrs. Alys Osborne, of Birkenhead. Aged 22, Private Osborne was educated at the Northcote primary and high schools. For several seasons he played Rugby League for Northcote and Ellerslie Clubs. Leaving with an early reinforcement, he was posted to ail Auckland infantry battalion.
