TUNNELS
I quite agree to "C.C.'s" letter re tunnels, etc., and I know at the E resent time there are a few memers of the New Zealand Tunnelling Company left in Auckland, who would be only too pleased to. give their services to our Mayor, Mr. Allum, in instructing and carrying out this very important work, As practical miners they were the means of the success in the big CambraiArras offensive in the last war. I definitely think that the military authorities or the Mayor should encourage these men and their practical experience of underground warfare should be acquired as soon as possible. J.S.M.
