SINKING OF LUSITANLA
How was it that MacClure, writing on the above and apparently quotinr from a well-known book on wirdot propaganda, missed the point which is of supreme importance? On the page previous to that from whkfc MacClure quoted we find this admission:—"lncluded in her cargo was a small consignment of rifle arnmimi. tion (4200 cases) and shrapnel weighing about 173 tons"—frao The World Crisis," by the Rt. HanWinston Churchill. Those who if member the way in which the nuking was condemned as a violation of international law will appreciate this item. The cause of such terrible loss of life was, almost certainly. because some, or ail, of ttliK ammunition blew the bottom out of the Lusitania. E.WJF.
