SAFEBLOWERS' ATTACK
(0.C.) HAMILTON, this day. Forcing entry to the Waikato County Council's offices at Hamilton East hy breaking open the back door some time during the week-end, thieves made a determined attempt to blow open the door of the strongroom, although no one is reported to have actually heard the explosion. The door of the strongroom bore evidence of the attack on it this morning, when it was found to be considerably buckled. The thieves however, failed to actually open the door. There was only a small sum of money in the safe in the strongroom.
