DARGAVILLE RAILWAY

GOODS AND LIVE STOCK (By Talacraph.—Parliamentary Raportcr.) WELLINGTON, this day. A reorganisation of the railway traffic arrangements to and from Dargaville was announced by the Minister of Railways, Mr. Semple, yesterday. He said the goods shed at the new station site at Dargaville had been completed, and from next Monday the present restriction on goods in truck loads would be lifted, and parcels and small lots of goods and live stock would be accepted for conveyance between main line stations and Dargaville and stations on the Kaihu section.

"One result dt this reorganisation will be a curtailment of the road motor goods service which has been running between Maungaturoto and Dargaville as part of the rail and road linked-up service between Auckland and Dargaville," said the Minister."

Suitable facilities to permit the conveyance of passengers were not yet available, and the present arrangements would continue in the meantime, he added.
