j As a result of representations by the North Shore borough councils and the Auckland Institute to the I Minister of Internal Affairs Mr Parry, and the acting Minister* in charge of scenery preservation. MiBarclay, the trustees of Smith's Bush on the Northcote-Takapuna Road' have been requested not to acceDt any tender for the purchase of the land or the timber thereon pendine consideration of the Government regarding the purchasing of the property for a State reserve. It is ; understood the trustees acceded to the request, and tho authorities are , obtaining particulars of the propertv and the price aaktd.
