ESCAPE TO TURKEY
AUCKLAND GUNNER SAFE
Previously reported missing in Greece, Gunner O. V. T. Brewer, of Auckland, is now safe in Turkev, according to advice received yesterday by his sister. Miss J. Brewer, of Wyllie Road, Papatoetoe. With his brother, Gunner K. T. Brewer, he was serving in the New Zealand Anti-Tank Regiment in Greece. Thev became parted after a week behind the enemy lines, and Gunner K T Brewer wrote stating that he had escaped to Crete. Later he was reported to be presumed killed in Crete, but no advice of Gunner O V. T. Brewer was received until yesterday.
