HOUSING AND CHILDREN
We are urged to assist to buiH a nation. To all right-minded peoefe it is our joy and privilege todoiT apart from any State nan? Should we then be treated asjfw had the plague by property owns? Each night in the list of flats aat houses available for renting a 75 per cent of the advertiamenli specifically state "adults." As there are so few places offering, this n. duces the choice of people in car position to practically nIL On"family" as yet consists only rf > babe in arms. She will bebraSk up not to rub her buttery handrovtr the wallpaper or carve her frtfrM. on the banisters, but it appears Hat most house owners would prefer not to believe this. Would it not be fairer for the owner to intminr each person who applied to rent hit house and himself judge whether such applicants would be the type to respect his property, and, it & lows, see that their children are tot under proper control. I appreciate the owner's point of view. Probahtr he has saved up all his workable fife to own the house he now offers for rent, and naturally wants it HH after. But he should not regard an children as undisciplined tyrants and should give all a r*m-> ONE OF IEANZ.
