28TH BIRTHDAY
OVERSEAS LEAGUE The 28th anniversary of the founding of the Overseas League was celebrated in the league rooms last night. The chairman. Mr. M. C. Rattray, presided in the absence of the president. Judge F. O. V. Acheson. He was accompanied by Mrs. Rattray.
Members of the executive acted as hostesses, assisted by the junior members, while the house committee was responsible for the supper, which included a cake decorated with 28 candles.
A musical programme arranged by Mrs. V. Bosworth was contributed to by Mesdames Rattray, A. Osborne. E. G. Osborne. Fisher. Misses Smith. Helen Rosenfeld. Tess Carte Lloyd. Heather Smith. Clare Hooker. R. and S. Sullivan, and Messrs. A. Holmes and J. Williamson. Mrs. D. Bellingham acted as accompanist.
