TO NATIONAL, SACRIFICE

OTTAWA. Canadians from coast to coast recently celebrated Dedication Sunday—"A Day of Special Dedication to National Service and Sacrifice" Military parades were held to church or drum-head services, and in districts where there were no militarv personnel, veterans attended the services, wearing their colours. Other organisations also participated with the military personnel and the general public in re-dedicating themselves to the cause for which Canada is fighting. The Governor-General, the Earl of Athlone. who is touring defence works in the maritime provinces attended church service with officers and men of the Navy at HalifaxNova Scotia. Prime Minister Mackenzie King, who is touring the western provinces, attended service and read the lesson in the Presbyterian Church in Chilliwack. British Columbia.
