AVONDALE JOCKEY CLUB
SPRING MEETING AT ELLERSLIE
For the poring meeting of the Avontlale Jo:key Clufb to be held at Ellerslie on September 13 and 15, the substantial amount of £537.5 in prize-money will bo distributed. Xo event on the programme carries a stake of less than £230, and the chief events are the Avondale Cup (fiißt day) of £700. and Plnmnton Handicap (second day) of £500. Entries have already been received for the Avondalf Stakes. Guineas and Champion Plate, and forfeits of £1 for each of these races must be made on Friday next, when, at 5 p.m.. entries close with the secretary. Mr. J. Rawson, for all handicap events.
