MEETING AT TE AROHA

The Poverty Bay Turf Club which will hold its spring meeting on the Te Aroha racecourse on September 20 and 22 is offering a moot attractive programme to owners. For the two days the stake money amounts to £3000. the smallest stake, £Ijo, being al'otted to the two evente for- maiden horses. The chief events are the Makaraka Handicap of £400. one mile and a quarter on the first day. and the President's Handicap of £300. one mile, on the second day. Nominations close on Friday, August 20.
