HARDER FOR U-BOATS
Feeble Excuses To Bolster Up
Failures
NAZI PRESS ADMISSIONS Rec. noon. LONDON, Aug. 14. U-boats and planes are now facing much greater difficulties in carrying out their orders to blockade the British Isles, says the Frankfurter Zeitung. It has become extremely difficult to detect the British convoys because they now take new routes and there are fewer convoys, the paper adds.
The Daily Telegraph naval correspondent says the feeble excuses put out by the enemy to explain Britain's reduced shipping losses may be taken as evidence, that the Battle of the Atlantic is going against them. It has been officially stated that Üboats are being sunk with increasing frequency.
