COAL FOR THE WINTER
BRITISH MIXERS' DRIVE Rec. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 14. Before the end of the month about 40,000 miners will have returned to the pits to help the drive for increased production, says the Daily Telegraph.
It is estimated that an increase in the output of 500,000 tons a month is necessary to meet the country's winter heeds.
Most of the returning miners have been weeded out compui«""-i]y from other industries.
