OVERSEAS SERVICE
BALLOT FOR SINGLE MEN There will be published in the Gazette next Wednesday the names of more than 23,000 single men for service overseas. They comprise all m « en fr ? m 2x to 40 remaining in the first division of the general reserve, apart from any men who reached the age of 21 after the ballot roll was prepared. Another ballot tftts one being for territorial service will be gazetted on August 19, and will contain the names of all single men between 18 and 19, and 41 and 45 who are on the ballot register when the names are drawn.
