REGRET EXPRESSED
WELLINGTON COURT CASE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. In a report of Magistrate's Court proceedings at Wellington on May 5 against Captain L. C. Boulton, master mariner, on a charge of carrying an automatic pistol except for some lawful, proper and sufficient purpose, it was erroneously stated that the defendant's wife was living with the man who reported the possession of the firearm. It was also stated that domestic troubles were associated wiMi the case.
WELLINGTON, this day.
It is grc' y regretted that these errors were made in the preparation of a summarised account of the proceedings. The Press Association which supplied the report, wishes to mM-e it clear that there was not at any time during the prococdiirrs any suggestion that Mrs. Boulton was living with the man concerned, or with anybody else. It desires to express sincere regret to Captain and Mrs. Boulton for the reflection wrongly conveyed, and for any unfortunate consequences arising from it.
