BENGASI—TRIPOLI Position All Quiet In Syria As Occupation Proceeds I British Official Wireless. Rec. 1 p.m. RUGBY, July 21. An R.A.F. Middle 'East com-1 munique says: "Heavy bombers of; the R.A.F. continued their attacks on the harbour at Bengasi. Bombs were dropped at the base of the I cathedral mole on Saturday night, j near the military headquarters, Gov-; ernment buildings and railway sidings. Fires and explosions caused by a bombing attack on the previous night were seen. Our bombers also attacked military objectives at Tripoli. Bombs, exploding on the power station, blew masonry into the air. "Aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm bombed the harbour and shipping at i ripoli. "Fighter aircraft of the R.A.F., headed off a number of bombers escorted by Messerschmitts 109 which attempted to attack our shipping off the North African coast. Two of our planes are missing." "All is quiet in Syria, and the occupation by our troops of the northern area is now approaching completion." states a Middle East communique from Cairo Headquarters. "There is no change in the position in Abyssinia."
