YUGOSLAV BALL
CHEQUE HANDED OVEIt A cheque for £115 was handed by the Yugoslav Club yesterday to Mr. L. W. Swan, organising secretary of the New Zealand Fighting Forces Fund, this sum representing the proceeds of the Yugoslav ball held in the Town Hall on July 9. A letter of thanks was sent to the club by Mr. Swan expressing appreciation for the club's numerous patriotic activities. The club members, the Kolo dancers and the Tamburitza Orchestra will travel to Whangarei on Friday to hold a street collection during the day for the Fighting Forces Fund and a ball the same night.
