(0.C.1 HAMILTON, Monday. One charge of forgery and five charges of obtaining goods valued at £2.3 and £23 in cash bv means of valueless cheques were admitted bv Pereival Lewis #\'ard (37). sharemilker, when he appeared before Messrs. P. Hunter and P. B. (Javan. J.P.'s. to-day. Evidence was given that accused signed agreements at Otorohanga and Tauranga to buy farms, and made arrangements to purchase a milking plant and water troughs. He obtained cheque forms and received varying amounts of cash for cheques he wrote. All the cheques were valueless. The accused was committed for sentence at Auckland.
