Confident after their success over tike | Maoris South Auckland has challenged i Auckland for a representative fixture, and i at the meeting of the Rugby League executive last night it was decided to offer them a game on July 12. Mr. T. Davis 6aid the club's officers' association had already discussed the prospect of a game and the association was prepared t-o forego its injured players' day for this match. It was eventually agreed to offer South Auckland July 12 as a suitable date. A lengthy discussion followed the present position of the senior reserve and senior B grades, it being mentioned that several senior B teams had defaulted. It was decided to refer the matter to the junior control board lor a report. Complaint was made that the dead-ball line on No. 1 ground at Carlaw Park is not clearly marked, and a try was lost In the Maori v. South Auckland game as a result. The referees were also ot the opinion that the sideline marking could be improved. The necessary action is to be i taken. I Mr. E. Chapman, chairman of the junior control board, sought information regarding a player injured who refused to leave the ground after being ordered to the sideline for treatment. Mr. Campbell said any player taking such a step could be ordered off the field for a breach of the laws governing conduct and his action reported by the referee. Local clubs are to be given the opportunity of playing matches at Ngaruawahia, either on Saturday or Sunday. The secretary, Mr. I. Culpan, was instructed to arrange games. Arrangements to play a senior grade match at Ellerslie for patriotic funds will be finalised after the conclusion of next Saturday's matches. W. T. Fernandez, a Ponsonby senior player, who was Injured in his first League game and is now in hospital, wrote expressing appreciation to the ladies' social committee for consideration and comforts during his period of treatment. The reinstatement of M. Soloman was approved. The following transfers were approved:—C. Brimble, Central Club (Wellington), to Newton; L. Shaw, North Shore to Manukau. Senior fixtures for Saturday:—Manukau v. City, Carlaw Park No. 1. 3 p.m.. Mr. J. Donovan: Marist v. North Shore. Carlaw Park, No. 1, 1.45 p.m., Mr. E. Pope; Richmond v.
