OBITUARY.
MR. SIDNEY G. STEER The death has occurred of Mr. Sidney Garfield Steer, manager and a director of Macky, Logan. Caldwell, Limited, at the age of 57. Mr. Steer was born at Launceston, Tasmania, and served his apprenticeship in the soft goods trade. After holding several positions in Hobart. he came to New Zealand in 1919 and joined the Auckland firm. Subsequently he was appointed buyer and later manager of the clothing and mercery department. In 1934, on the reorganisation of the company, he was appointed manager and made a director. Mr.Steer leaves a widow and two sons.
