TRADE AND MUNITIONS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. l The Government has decided toi send the Minister of Lands, the Hon.i F. Langstone, to the United States for the purpose of initiating and promoting trade negotiations, particularly in the sale of dairy produce,! meat and other primary products.! according to an announcement made by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, to-day. Mr. Langstone will leave at an early date and will be accompanied by officers of the Customs, Supply] and Marketing Departments. He will; also make preliminary arrangements for the establishment of a New Zealand Legation in Washington. "The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coat'es, a member of the War Cabinet, has agreed to a request>by the Government and the War Cabinet," continued Mr. Nash, "to visit the United States to organise and expedite arrangements for the supply of munitions necessary to the defence of the Dominion."
