EGG-WHITE MEND.
Tears, such as the three-cornered kind caused by catching the material on a nail, can be mended with the white of an eg£. Place the article llat on the table, wrong side n pernios*, and smear tlie torn edtres with the ejrj: white. Lay a piece of linen or material over the rent, and press with a hot iron. The material will adhere and the rent will not show on the right side.
