CLUBS AND SOCIETIES.
Yorkshire Society.—Members and. frends met in the Fabian Club rooms for the fortnightly social and dance, the guests being received by Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Staley. Music for the dancing was supplied by the Haywood trio and the masters, of ceremonies for the evening were Messrs. H. Stewart and D. Ashworth, with Mr. W. A. Ward in charge of the cards. At the close of the evening prizes were presented to the following: Cards, Mrs. M. Barker and Mrs. C. King; Monte Carlo, Mrs. and Miss Smiley; lucky number. Mrs. T. S. Shaw.
Progress Club.—Miss I. Rutherford presided at the meeting of the Women's Progress Club of the Higher Thought Centre, when the speaker was Miss A. Watson. The title of her address was "Can Humans Ever Agree?"
