COMMENT BY MINISTER. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Hun. A. 11. Nordmeyer, Minister of Health, told the Labour party conference to-day that the number of doctors Wlio had signed agreements for free medical benefits was progressing very satisfactory v.

He said a large increase in the number of people receiving medic«l benefits was expected at an early date.

The conference decided to recommend that every effort be made to induce doctors to co-operate on a voluntary basis before any compulsion was resorted to. It also recommended the extension of free dental treatment to adults as soon as it is practicable.
