APPRECIATION.
COMFORTS FOR SOLDIERS,
Appreciation of the comforts provided by the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council during the recent territori.il manoeuvres in the north Lias been expressed by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. .Tones, and also by the Rt. Hon. •!. (i. C'oates. member of the War Cabinet, and Brigadier P. 11. Bell, officer commanding the northern military district.
"Being on the spot, I could see that the service was 100 per cent," wrote Mr. C'oates. In his appreciation. Brigadier Bell made special reference to the committee of women in zone B, Rodney County, in attending the needs of troops. The provision of amenities was greatly appreciated by the men, he said.
