MEDICAL BENEFITS.
GRANTS MADE BY LODGE.
In a report to be presented at the district conference next Wednesday the large medical benefits paid by the Auckland district of the Unity Oddfellows to dependents of members engaged on war service arc reviewed. The society also provides medical attendance and medicine for wives and children of married soldiers and for widowed mothers of single men. Payments made to members last year by the Auckland district amounted to £35,954. Of this figure £15,507 was spent on sickness, and £12,909 on medical attendance and medicine for members.
