Approval was given by the House of Representatives yesterday to the of a selection committee to sit during the recess to consider the general problem of river erosion. The committee comprises the following members of the House:—The Minister of Public Works, Mr. Armstrong, Messrs. Cullen (Government, ITawke's Bav), Goosman (National, Waikato), Harker (National, Waipawa), Kyle (National, Riccarton), L. G. Lowry (Government, Otaki), and J. O'Brien (Government, Westland).
