Tlie Hon. R. Semple travels south by train to-night. Mr. Hendry Luke, chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, will travel to Wellington by train to-night. Mr. W. R. Butcher, locomotive engineer to the Railway Department, arrived in Auckland this morning. Lieutenant-Colonel A. W. Ebbs and Lieutenant-Commissioner J. Evan Smith, of the Salvation Army, will return to Wellington this evening. Mr. .T. B. Lnsk has been appointed by the Bishop of Auckland, Biehop Simkin, a member of the cathedral chapter in place of the late Mr. C-. J. Tunks. Rev. Brother J. C. McCann, school inspector for Christian Brothers' colleges in Australia and New Zealand, has arrived in Auckland on a visit to St. Peter's College, Mountain Road, and will leave later for the South, where he will visit the colleges at Oamaru and Dunedin.
