THREE DROWNED.
AIRMAN VICTIM. RESCUE EFFORTS FAIL. Three young men were drowned in separate accidents during the week-end, two in the surf on ocean beaches and the other in a bathing pool at Whangarei. One was a Royal Air Force instructor and another was about to enter camp for training for overseas service.
