HANDICAP TENNIS. WOMEN'S EVENT TO MRS. K. EMERSON. W. T. Pountney captured the senior men's singles title at Stanley Street on Saturday when the nineteenth annual handicap tournament of the Auckland LawnJTennis Association was concluded in brilliant weather before a fair gallery. The senior women's singles went to Mrs. K. Emerson. The courts were in excellent order and the standard of play was generally high. Final results were: — A SECTION. Men's Singles.—W. T. Pountney (owe 50) beat J. C. Rogan (owe 15 4-6). 6 —l. I—6.1 —6. 6—3. Women's Singles.—Mrs. K. Emerson (owe 15 2-6) beat Miss i. Swanson (owe 15 3-6). 11—9. 7—5. Men's Doubles.—Radonich and Mitchell (owe 15 4-6) beat Burns and Broun (owe 40). 10—8. 6—4. Women's Doubles. —Misses Swanson and Mumford (owe 40) beat Misses Flynn and Kilner (rec 3-6 15), 6—2. 2—6. 10—8. Mixed Doubles.—Rogan and Miss Corfe beat Bums and Miss Burns, o—6,0 —6, 6 —4. 6—4.
